grlpwrprojects is a space for the stay-at-home mamas and the CEOs, the startup entrepreneurs and the retired ladies - no matter what stage in life, you have a place in our circle. Join a collective for events + workshops, monthly happy hours, body-pos photo shoots, yearly conferences, Self-Love Sunday festivals, mini masterminds, coffee chats + more.
Let's be real - we're throwing out the nametags and business cards. We thrive on real connection and friendship. Join us for an event, and we promise you'll make a genuine connection. We have a number of true blossoming friendships to prove it.
No one tells you how difficult life can be as a post-grad, a business owner, a mama, a new city transplant - or simply a woman. We’ve found that life can be especially tough when you don’t have a group of encouraging gals building you up + pushing you forward. A group where you can be yourself, feel welcome and truly cultivate real relationships. A group where you can be surrounded by like-minded people.
This is why we created grlpwrprojects - an inclusive community for gals seeking growth - a community to network, collaborate, get inspired + share your story.

PGH-based publicist + mama with a soul filled with wanderlust. Amanda is the owner of A.FAYE PR, a boutique PR agency dedicated to sharing the stories of businesses in her community. When not running glrpwrprojects or pitching her clients, you can find her at a local brewery, binge watching Bravo TV or booking a cheap flight for her family's next adventure.
Owner of LeeAnn K Photography, LeeAnn can be found at a grlpwrprojects event with camera in hand, ready to capture the magic. When she isn't working with her personal branding clients or photographing families, you can find LeeAnn working on her old-man dance moves, venturing outdoors with her partner, or snugglin' up with a good cup of coffee + her fur babies.
Shortly after having her daughter, Willow (now five), and starting her boutique PR agency, A.FAYE PR, Amanda realized that the work-from-home stay-at-home mama was a lonely one. With friends spread across the country, she found herself craving connection, community + interaction with others who may have been sharing the same experiences as her, because let's be real - making friends as an adult female is hard AF.
While digging deep for women's groups in Pittsburgh, she found they were all either very industry focused or nichey - not her jam. Where were the spaces that welcomed all women, of all walks of life, backgrounds, ethnicities, industries? In Pittsburgh, it was no where to be found - so she created it.
grlpwrprojects' first city collective was born in 2017 with the launch of grlpwrpgh. What started simply as monthly "anti-networking" happy hours (who truly enjoys nametags + business cards?), quickly developed into quarterly programming which included curated experiences for women to network, collaborate, get inspired + share their story.
The collective became a safe space, a place to laugh and cry, a place to spill your heart and be heard - and most importantly, a place to call home for so many women in the city of Pittsburgh.
In 2019, more than two years after launching grlpwrpgh, Amanda decided to take the leap to launch another city collective, this time across the state in Philadelphia. grlpwrphl was born, followed by grlpwrcle in Cleveland, Ohio in early 2020.
Now, as we head into spring 2020, we are so excited to be expanding this community to 13 new cities. Looking for a sign to find that supportive group of women you've been searching for? Here's your sign. Find a glrpwrprojects collective in a city near you, or bring us to your town! Let's make some magic, ladies.
